Can Your Hardwood Floors Be Saved?

It depends on three factors:

• Water Type: Was it clean water from a pipe, or contaminated water?
• Time: Was the water left sitting for days, or was it addressed in hours?
• Material: Is it solid hardwood, or is it an engineered or laminate floor?Solid hardwood has the highest chance of being saved. The key is to act fast.

Our Hardwood Floor Drying Process (Not Just "Wiping it Up")

You can't save a hardwood floor with towels and fans. This is a scientific process.

• 1. Water Extraction: We first use powerful vacuums to extract all surface water.
• 2. Specialized Mat Drying: This is the critical step. We lay down high-pressure "drying mats" that create a seal on the floor. These mats are connected to a vacuum system that pulls water and moisture through the wood and from the subfloor below.
• 3. Structural Dehumidification: As we pull the moisture out, we use industrial-grade dehumidifiers to capture it from the air. This prevents the moisture from being reabsorbed and stops secondary damage (like mold growth).
• 4. Daily Monitoring: We use non-invasive moisture meters to take daily readings, ensuring the floor and the subfloor are drying to a safe, pre-loss condition. This process is the best way to prevent permanent cupping, warping, and the need for a costly replacement.
